Is there an application fee for the ALC Dance Ministries Scholarship? It's FREE. There is no charge to apply. What is the average amount of a scholarship? Scholarship awards are determined by need and availability. May I download and save the scholarship application to my computer? Yes, but you must have adobe 8.0 or higher to save the application to your computer. May I fax or email my application? Applications downloaded from our website are to be submitted by following the directions found on the application. What are my scholarship chances? Scholarship applications are received by diverse groups of volunteers serving on the board of directors committee as well as leaders from local churches. The committee reviews all applications and select recipients based on availability of funds and competitiveness of the applicant pool. Completion for scholarship is strong and meeting minimum eligibility does not guarantee funding. How and when will I be notified if I receive a scholarship? Once you have submitted a completed scholarship application, the committee will review the application. If you are selected as a new recipient, you will be notified by letter or by email regarding the scholarship and the amount of the award. The award letters are mailed or emailed in late August. If I receive a scholarship one year, will I automatically receive it the following year? Some scholarship will be renewable. Your award letter will indicate whether the scholarship is renewable, a one-time award, or if you are required to re-apply. If I receive a scholarship, what do I need to do? 1. Reply promptly to inform the committee of your receipt of the scholarship and acceptance. Please respond within 7 business days form the date of the letter. 2. Sign and return the authorization and verification form included in your award letter. This form includes any and all scholarship agreements and/or rules and regulations. 3. Make note of ALL deadlines. They are finally. 4. Notify ALC Dance Ministries immediately if circumstances occur that would cause the recipient NOT to accept the scholarship. 5. Notify ALC Dance Ministries within two weeks if there is a change in your permanent address, email address, or phone number. |
